Dallas Cup Day 5 U13-U17 Recap

The Dallas Cup continued on Thursday, with more exciting action in the U-13 through U-17 age groups.

Under 13

Tigres defeated FC Golden State PDA 2003, 2-1, in their quarterfinals matchup at MoneyGram Park. FC Golden State had a very quick start as they got a 2nd minute goal from Juan Bonola. However, Tigres got two unanswered goals from Mario Castro and Daniel Caballero in the 26th and 35th minute to put the Mexican side through to the semi-finals.

CFJ North 02/03 Pre-Academy overcame two very early goals to defeat Fullerton Rangers B02 White. Fullerton Rangers got two goals within the first five minutes of the game from Jose Corona. CFJ North fired back with three unanswered goals to gain a lead that they would not give up. The match ended 3-2 and CFJ North will play Tigres in the semi-finals of the Dallas Cup.

Chicago Magic PSG U13 Pre-Academy won 5-0 against TSF Academy 02/03B. Christian Perez scored two goals in the match and Chicago Magic PSG earned their trip to the semifinals.

Solar Chelsea 03B took care of business in their quarterfinals matchup when they won 3-0 over Global Premier Soccer FC Bayern National Team.

Under 14

FC Dallas Youth 02B Central will be moving on after their quarterfinals victory over California’s La Premier FC. Nicolas Zarzar (‘15) and Ivan Juarez (‘45) each scored in the match and secured their team a spot in the next round of the Dallas Cup.

FC Golden State B01 Black secured a spot in the semi-finals after they defeated Sporting United 02B, 2-0. A pair of second half goals from Diego Lopez-Rosales and Luis Mendez in the 36th and 67th minute were the difference in the match. FC Golden State will match up against FC Dallas Youth 02B Central in the next round.

The quarterfinal matchup between Liverpool 02 Boys Elite and SJ Earthquakes PDA ’02 ended in a thrilling 2-1 victory for the SJ Earthquakes. SJ Earthquakes’ Walter Mazariegos scored first to gain a 1-0 lead for his team. The game remained knotted until late in the second half when Liverpool 02 Boys Elite picked up the equalizing goal from Carlos Mejiia in the 69th minute. Things appeared to be heading to penalty kicks, but SJ Earthquakes answered right back with a stoppage time goal from Diego Luna.

FC Los Angeles B01 Black defeated FC Dallas 02B Premier, 1-0. The one goal came very early on in the 5th minute from Victor Cano for the FC Los Angeles side. The remainder of the game was scoreless and FC Los Angeles B01 Black will be moving on to the semi-finals. Their semi-finals round will match them up against fellow California side, SJ Earthquakes PDA ’02.

Under 15

Germany’s Eintracht Frankfurt won their quarterfinals matchup with a big victory over West Side Alliance 01 White. Max Bell scored a hat-trick in the match and the final score was 9-0.

Sereno 01 Boys White will be moving on to the semi-finals after their win over Carlsbad Elite B00. Sereno’s Kolter Nelson scored the clinching goal in the 24th minute as the final score finished 1-0. They will square off against the Eintracht Frankford side from Germany in the semi-finals.

Tigres will be moving on to the semis after they defeated FC Dallas U14 Academy 2-1 in extra time. FC Dallas got an equalizing goal in stoppage time to tie up the game 1-1 from Bryan Reynolds. Tigres got the winning goal from Manuel Rodriguez in the 90th minute. Rodriguez also scored the first goal of the match in the 32nd minute.

California’s AC Brea B00 defeated SJ Earthquakes PDA ’01, 2-0. Goals from Edwin Camacho and Steve Perez secured a spot in the semis for AC Brea. They will play Mexico’s Tigres in the next round.

Under 16

CF Monterrey will be moving on to the semis after they defeated SC Del Sol today, 2-1. Monterrey’s Diego Moreno scored first in the 38th minute. Rafael Mariscal tacked on another goal in the 50th minute for Monterrey. Despite pulling a goal back in the 62nd minute from Zade Ghani, SC Del Sol was unable to catch CF Monterrey.

La Premier FC defeated Hawaii Rush Soccer 2000B 5-1. Bryan Perez had a pair of goals for the Californian squad as they punched their ticket to the semi-finals of the Dallas Cup. They will face off against CF Monterrey in the next round.

A hard fought match took place between Crossfire Premier 2000 USSDA Pre-Academy and Rio Rapids SC 00. The lone goal of the match was scored in the 45th minute by Crossfire Premier’s Declan McGlynn in the 45th minute. The match ended 1-0 in favor of Washington’s Crossfire Premier.

Andromeda FC 00B won their match today, 3-1, over Marin FC 00 Boys Blue. Andromeda got the first two goals of the match from Jose Zertuche and Ayman Boutari in the 27th and 31st minute. Marin FC’s Stefan Jung pulled one back before halftime in the 37th minute to make the score 2-1. Nearing the end of the match, Andromeda’s Timothy Langford added on one more to confirm the victory for Andromeda FC 00B. They will play Crossfire Premier in the semi-finals.

Under 17

New York SC B98 won their quarterfinal matchup against FC Dallas Youth 99B Premier, 1-0. Jack Beer got the lone goal in the match for NYC SC, but it was all they needed as they will be moving on to the semifinals.

Dallas Texans 99B Red also punched their ticket to the semi-finals with a 4-0 win over Prepa Tec MTY. Two first half goals from Nicolas Taylor helped capture the win for the Texas team. They will match up against NYC SC B98 in the next round of the Dallas Cup.

Solar Chelsea 99B Red defeated New Jersey’s TSF Academy 98/99B, 3-0. The match saw an early goal from Nickolas West in the 8th minute and a pair of second half goals from Carlos Flores to help Solar Chelsea 99B get the win.

Pipeline SC Black will be moving on to the semis after their win over Sereno 99 Boys White. Pipeline held a 1-0 lead late into the match thanks to a goal from Eduardo Rodriguez, but Sereno’s Adrian Moran tied up the match late in the 89th minute. In extra time, Pipeline’s Benjamin Alexander scored the game winning goal to send Pipeline SC through to the semis to play Solar Chelsea 99B.
