Alliance Soccer League expands, announces club commitments for 2020-21 NPL season

The Alliance Soccer League’s top tier, its NPL Division, will welcome a collection of top boys and girls clubs from New Jersey for the 2020-21 NPL season.

The Alliance Soccer League is club-based and player-focused, bringing an innovative approach to New Jersey’s competitive landscape. The current 2019-20 season is the league’s inaugural campaign with a base of boys clubs that have a qualification pathway to the Elite National Premier League (ENPL) postseason. Next season, the Alliance Soccer League continues to offer programming to boys clubs, while also introducing opportunities to girls.

These are the member boys clubs in 13-U through 19-U age groups for the 2020-21 season:

  • Cedar Stars
  • Holmdel NJX
  • Ironbound SC
  • Match Fit Academy FC
  • Parsippany SC
  • PDA Hibernian
  • PDA Shore
  • PSA SDFC
  • PSA Wildcats
  • STA
  • STA Mt. Olive

“Our inaugural season of the Alliance Soccer league has seen initial goal accomplishments of providing quality to our member clubs, improved scheduling with limited travel, decreased costs and bringing like-minded clubs together with the best interest of the players as the priority,” said Chris Leahey, Executive Director of Match Fit Academy FC. “With the addition of the Girls NPL division for 2020-21 and continued interest in the Boys NPL, we look forward to the growth of the league, while staying focused on our player development-driven mission.”

Alliance Soccer League members are exposed to US Club Soccer’s robust player identification and development programs: id2 and PDP, sponsored by Verizon. These platforms provide an opportunity for the country’s elite youth soccer players to be identified and developed, and scouted for inclusion in U.S. Soccer’s National Team programs.
