Final NCAA Division I men’s soccer 2019 regular season rankings released

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Nov. 19, 2019) — United Soccer Coaches released the final regular season rankings for NCAA Division I men’s soccer on Tuesday.

Virginia reclaimed the top spot in the rankings after capturing the ACC Tournament title over the weekend. The Cavaliers enter the NCAA Tournament with a 17-1-1 record.

Georgetown moved up one spot into the No. 2 slot after capturing the Big East Tournament championship.

Previously top-ranked Clemson dropped to third after falling to Virginia in the ACC title game. Washington moved up two spots into the No. 4 ranking and SMU jumped five spots into the top five.

On Monday, the NCAA released the Men’s Division I Championship bracket featuring a field of 48 teams. Tournament play will get underway on Thursday, Nov. 21 with 16 first round matches and will conclude with the NCAA College Cup on Dec. 13 and 15 in Cary, N.C.

United Soccer Coaches college rankings, released every Tuesday during the regular season, are an indicator of the week-to-week status of qualified programs and in no way should be used as a guide or indicator of eligibility for championship selection. To be eligible for consideration in United Soccer Coaches college rankings, a school must be a member of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program.
