RECAP: ECNL Girls and ECNL Regional League Girls Champions Crowned for 2026

After a week full of action at 60 Acres Park in Seattle, ten teams took the field on Friday looking to claim the highest prize in the ECNL, the ECNL Girls National Championship, while ten teams on Saturday took the field looking to claim the highest prize in the ECNL Regional League, the ECNL Regional League Girls National Championship.

U17 ECNL Girls National Champions: FC Dallas
Most Outstanding Player: Layla Iglesias

Led by two outstanding defenses, FC Dallas and Match Fit Surf met for the U17 ECNL Girls National Championship. In their four games leading up to the final, FC Dallas only conceded one goal in their Round of 16 match with Real Colorado National, while posting clean sheets in their other three games. On the other side, Match Fit Surf did not concede more than one goal in any of their four wins.

As expected, the final was a closely contested battle. Despite opportunities from both sides throughout the first half, the game went into the halftime break scoreless.

In the second half, Match Fit turned up the pressure on the FC Dallas defense, but goalkeeper Lola-Iris Ta made a number of key saves to keep the game scoreless. Late in the second half, FC Dallas turned the run of play more in their favor and Layla Iglesias, who was named the Most Outstanding Player, fired home the lone goal of the match to seal the U17 National Championship with a 1-0 victory.

U16 ECNL Girls National Champions: Real Colorado National
Most Outstanding Player: Molly Gaffney

Real Colorado National entered Friday’s U16 National Championship having not conceded a goal over their last three games, after winning each game 1-0.

Despite their strong defense, it was Michigan Hawks who came out early and grabbed the lead on Real Colorado, but that goal was quickly answered by one from Real Colorado to knot the game back up at 1-1.

Real Colorado then tacked on two more goals to secure the 3-1 and claim the U16 ECNL Girls National Championship. After the game, Real Colorado goalkeeper Molly Gaffney was named the Most Outstanding Player.

U15 ECNL Girls National Champions: So Cal Blues
Most Outstanding Player: Brazil Crockett

It was a long, competitive road for So Cal Blues to get to the U15 ECNL Girls National Championship. They defeated Cleveland Force by one goal in the opening round, before needing penalties to defeat Richmond United and advance to the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals they again won by a lone goal, defeating Mustang SC 3-2, and then booked their place in the final with a 2-0 win over Nationals SC.

As expected the final was also a closely contested game as they took on Concorde Fire Platinum. Powered by two second half goals though and another strong defensive performance, So Cal Blues claimed the U15 ECNL Girls National Championship with a 2-0 win.

Following the game, Brazil Crockett, who was a key part of the So Cal Blues defense, was named the Most Outstanding Player.

U14 ECNL Girls National Champions: San Diego Surf
Most Outstanding Player: Stella Green

After clinching the U13 ECNL Girls National Championship last season, San Diego Surf came into the U14 National Championship looking to go back-to-back in the G12 age group.

Surf was impressive all week leading up to the final, picking up wins over Chicago Inter, Athletic Club Florida, Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals, and Solar SC, scoring 17 goals along the way, while only conceding five.

The championship game proved to be their toughest test of the week though as they faced off against an outstanding Slammers FC HB Køge side. With the sides tied 2-2 late in the game, Kensington McGrath fired home the third goal for Surf to clinch the win and their second straight ECNL Girls National Championship for the G12 San Diego Surf.

Stella Green was named the Most Outstanding Player.

U13 ECNL Girls National Champions: Slammers FC HB Køge
Most Outstanding Player: Kayda Ezinkwo

Slammers FC HB Køge was outstanding all week in Seattle, defeating a run of competition that included GSA, Portland Thorns, Concorde Fire Platinum, and Florida Krush to reach the championship game against Sting Black.

Slammers capped off their incredible run with an impressive 4-0 win over a Sting Black side that also beat four quality sides to reach the final. Following the game, Kayda Ezinkwo was named the Most Outstanding Player.

U17 ECNL Girls Regional League National Champions: Sunrise
Most Outstanding Player: Valentina Huertas

Sunrise advanced to the U17 ECNL Girls Regional League National Championship on penalty kicks over Reading Rage Surf, while Lonestar SC Red advanced to the final with a 3-2 win over Lobos Rush.

Sunrise got on the board late in the first half to make it 1-0 and quickly added to their lead as the second half got underway.

Later in the half, Sunrise tacked on a third and it looked like the title was firmly in their grasp, but Lonestar battled their way back, scoring a quick goal and then getting a penalty to cut the lead down to one in the closing minutes.

Despite some late chances to tie the game, Sunrise held on in the final moments to claim the U17 ECNL Girls Regional League Championship.

After the game, Sunrise’s Valentina Huertas was named the Most Outstanding Player.

U16 ECNL Girls Regional League National Championship: Quickstrike FC
Most Outstanding Player: Samantha Schultz

This year’s Quickstrike FC U16 team featured a number of players who helped claim a National Championship for the club at the U14 age group last season, and on Saturday those players repeated the feat, claiming another National Championship title for the club.

Quickstrike was impressive all weekend at the ECNL Regional League Girls Finals, conceding no goals across their three games, and only four across their entire postseason run, which they capped off with a 2-0 win over Lonestar SC Red in the championship game.

Quickstrike’s Samantha Schultz was named the Most Outstanding Player.

U15 ECNL Girls Regional League National Champions: SFFA
Most Outstanding Player: Delaney Colt

SFFA advanced to Saturday’s National Championship with a 3-2 win over Oklahoma Celtic in the semifinals, while San Francisco Elite Academy advanced in a thrilling penalty kick shootout win over FC Dallas.

The two sides played another thriller on Saturday and it was SFFA who came out on top with the 2-1 win, with SFFA’s Delaney Colt being named the Most Outstanding Player.

U14 ECNL Girls Regional League National Champions: So Cal Blues
Most Outstanding Player: Kaylee Harden

After both sides survived penalty kicks in the semifinals, So Cal Blues and Slammers FC squared off for the U14 ECNL Girls Regional League National Championship.

The lone goal in the match came from So Cal Blues to secure the title 1-0. After the game, goalkeeper Kaylee Hayden was named the Most Outstanding Player.

U13 ECNL Girls Regional League National Champions: FC Dallas
Most Outstanding Player: Brynn Feeney

Following a win in the quarterfinals that needed penalty kicks, FC Dallas was dominant on the rest of their way to the U13 ECNL Girls Regional League National Championship. FC Dallas defeated Alabama FC Huntsville 3-0 in the semifinals, before claiming the championship with a 6-1 win over Arsenal Colorado in the title game.

After the game, Brynn Feeney was named the Most Outstanding Player.
