Albertson Fury/Academy WEST complete merger

The Albertson Fury/Academy WEST announced that their premier level teams will be affiliating with the White Plains Youth Soccer Premier Soccer club. For the past decade Albertson Fury/Academy has dominated the landscape of soccer in New York State, with teams competing against the most talented girls/boys programs in the country, through the USSDA (US Soccer Development Academy) and the ECNL (Elite Clubs National League). Albertson teams are also represented in prestigious NPL, Region I, NERP and LIJSL.

By affiliating with Albertson Fury/Academy, all White Plains premier players will have the opportunity to train and play with the ECNL, Pre ECNL, USSF, and Pre USSF Academy teams in their respective age groups. Also, White Plains Premier Teams will be competing in the highest level of competition in the area (NERP, NYCSL, MAPS WPL, ETC.). Furthermore, with this merger White Plains players will get the opportunity to attend top level college showcases such as Disney, Las Vegas, Jefferson Cup and National Elite Womens Soccer Showcase (NEWSS).

The White Plains Youth Soccer boys Premier Side will be called White Plains/Albertson Academy WEST. The White Plains Youth Soccer girls Premier Side will be called White Plains/Albertson Fury WEST.

Paul Riley, Director of Coaching of Albertson Fury/Academy said, “we are extremely excited to join forces with White Plains Premier and we feel it will be an opportunity for all our players to experience the benefits of a strong alliance from team perspective, coaching expertise, tournament team sharing, coaching education, and facility integration. White Plains Premier is a growing and developing club and we feel our support network will add substantial strength to both their girls and boys programs. We hope our alliance will open up new avenues, fresh opportunities and initiatives for all players. It’s an exciting time for both our clubs.”

Robert Biagini, Coaching Committee President of White Plains Youth Soccer said, “This is a great affiliation for White Plains. It gives all of our players the opportunity to compete at the highest level of youth soccer. We now can offer our top players access to the ECNL and Academy. In addition this partnership will provide our players the chance to attend the best tournaments and showcases in the country. We are very excited to be joining the Albertson soccer family.”

White Plains Youth Soccer President, George Caceres said “White Plains Youth Soccer is looking forward to be working with Albertson Fury/Academy.  As the landscape of youth soccer is changing, we need to give our players the opportunity to reach the next level.”
