Summary: The St. James Football Club is seeking a dedicated and experienced Goalkeeping Director to join our dynamic coaching team. The ideal candidate should possess a passion for developing goalkeepers of all ages and skill levels as well as managing and developing our goalkeeper staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with aspiring goalkeepers and help them reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities

Program Management: Manage all aspects of the Goalkeeping program at The St. James including but not limited to…
• Program Development & Management
• Staff Development & Management
• Manage program budgets to be in line with club goals

Goalkeeper Training:
• Develop and implement effective goalkeeper training programs tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
• Focus on the development of fundamental skills such as positioning, shot-stopping, distribution, and communication.
• Provide specialized training in areas such as one-on-one situations, handling crosses, and set pieces.
• Execute MLS Next & Girls Academy sessions and matches
• Oversee Pre-MLS Next and Pre-GA programs

Individualized Coaching:
• Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions to assess and enhance the performance of individual goalkeepers.
• Identify strengths and weaknesses of goalkeepers, create development plans, and track progress.

Group Sessions:
• Lead group training sessions, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Teach tactical aspects of goalkeeping, such as organizing the defense and reading the game.

Scouting and Talent Identification:
• Assist in talent identification by evaluating potential recruits and recommending them for higher-level teams or programs.

Communication:
• Maintain clear and regular communication with goalkeepers, parents, and the coaching staff to provide progress updates and address concerns.

Professional Development:
• Stay current with the latest coaching techniques and trends in goalkeeper training.
• Attend coaching seminars and workshops to further enhance coaching skills.

Working Conditions:
• This role to include evenings and weekends as well as daytime administrative responsibilities.
• W2 Role with eligible healthcare and retirement programs
• $50,000 per year base salary
• Program growth incentives

Qualifications:
• Minimum of USSF B License, USSF GK License, USC (NSCAA) GK Diploma or foreign equivalent coaching certification.
• Previous experience as a goalkeeper director, preferably at the youth or amateur level.
• Profound knowledge of goalkeeper techniques, strategies, and tactics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for player development and the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a coaching team.
• Knowledge of video analysis software and its application in coaching.
• A strong commitment to creating a positive and inclusive training environment.
• Background checks and necessary coaching credentials required.
• Candidates must be currently eligible to work in the United States

NOTES:

Additional Salary Information: All TSJFC employees receive a complimentary membership to all of The St. James facilities. Coaching education support is also available to all staff members.

Additional Compensation Opportunities include:
-Camps @ $1,000 per week
-USL-Y @ $2500 per team
-Futsal Academy @ $3000 per team
-Clinics and Private/ Semi-Private Lessons from $75-$200 per hour
