What made you decide to verbally commit to the U.S. Naval Academy?
I decided to commit to the Naval Academy because it fits what I want both for education and soccer. It has many science majors and after join the military. It allows me to have my life set up after college with an immediate career. They have a beautiful campus and facilities. Lastly, the coaches are amazing and provide lots of resources to help you succeed.
What was the recruiting process like and what did you learn about yourself while going through it?
I started emailing colleges and attending ID camps at the beginning of my freshman year. The Navy was one of the main schools I targeted since it had always been a dream school of mine. The coaches saw me play multiple times across my freshman and sophomore years. On June 15 we had a great call and I received an offer. Then the following morning I committed to Navy. One thing I learned about myself is that if I truly work hard for something I can obtain it.
How do you feel your strengths on the field will help Navy?
I think I will help by being able to move the ball forward and into new spaces. Also, by having 100% effort and a never-quit mindset.
What are your favorite subjects in school and what do you think you would like to study in college?
My favorite subject is science. I probably will major in something to do with science on a pre-med track.
What has your experience been like playing for Fairfax Virginia Union?
It’s been amazing. I’ve grown so much as a player since coming to the team. I have also met some of my favorite people that I wouldn’t trade for anything.
What are your favorite pair of cleats that you have ever owned?
Nike Phantom Lunas
If you could give one piece of advice to a younger player that wants to play at a high level, what would it?
Be motivated in school and your sport, because the better your grades are the more opportunities you will receive.
Is there anyone that you would like to give a shoutout to who has helped you both on and off of the field?
My parents, teammates, friends, and coaches.
