Players That Impressed: ECNL Girls Phoenix National Event (Fall 2025)

The ECNL Girls Phoenix National Event took place over the weekend, featuring a strong group of teams from across the U16-U18/19 age groups.

Competition took place at Reach 11 Sports Complex from November 14-16, with a total of 206 teams in attendance. Many of the country’s premier rising prospects were in attendance, including many from the Class of 2028, who will be entering their active recruiting windows in June 2026.

Class of 2029

Brynlee Nordstrom | Forward
Sting Austin 2010 (TX)

This talented attacking player from the Class of 2029 showed her wide variety of tools which will make her a promising overall prospect. Nordstrom is strong and physical, with excellent quickness and pace. She provided the lone goal for Sting Austin 2010 on a tough header in a hard fought 1-1 draw against a renowned Bay Area Surf team.

Eclipse Select SC 2010 (IL)

Lifted Eclipse Select to a 4-2 victory over Mustang SC with a strong header goal off a corner kick, rising up over multiple defenders to power home the game-sealing score. Szczerowski had an assist in the game as well, making her presence felt during the biggest moments of the fast-paced offensive battle.

Megan Rivera

This dynamic forward showed all the scouts in attendance that she’s in excellent form, with her active recruiting window opening up later this season. Rivera completely took over the match during Concorde Fire’s dominant 4-1 win over Bay Area Surf, scoring 1 goal and producing 2 assists. Defenders simply have no answer for her devastating skillset, especially in 1v1 situations. (WATCH)

Brooklyn Baskin

Capping off an overall successful weekend for her Sting Black 2009 side, Baskin came up huge with the game-winning goal on Day 3 against a nationally-renowned SLSG Navy team. Baskin netted the only goal of the game in the 1-0 victory, as Sting Black finished the showcase with an undefeated 2-0-1 record. She also tallied an assist on Day 2 during a 4-0 rout of Eagles SC.

Arya Pfeiffer | Midfielder
Slammers HB Køge 2010 (CA)

Pfeiffer was a significant contributor during Slammers HB Koge 2010’s undefeated weekend in Phoenix, as they went 2-0-1 against some of the toughest opponents in the country. She scored a tough header goal in heavy traffic off a corner sent in by Jaden Rall, and excelled in the ball control and passing game throughout the showcase.

Slammers HB Køge 2010 (CA)

An excellent center back for the two-time ECNL National Champion Slammers HB Koge 2010 squad, Rall profiles as a future big time contributor for an NCAA Power 4 program. In addition to her outstanding defensive play, she’s dangerous on the attacking side as well with her pinpoint set pieces and her elite level throw-ins. Rall assisted Arya Pfeiffer’s header goal off a well-placed corner kick while serving a key role on the back line throughout the showcase. (WATCH)

Danica Meller | Forward
Eclipse Select SC 2010 (IL)

Meller had a role in 3 of her team’s goals during Eclipse Select’s impressive 4-2 win against California side Mustang SC. She had a brace while also recording an assist, as she was an absolute force in the box, even in heavy traffic. Meller consistently outworks and overpowers defenders, using leverage and body control to maneuver into the right spot to gain possession and create shots on goal. (WATCH)

Las Vegas Heat Surf 2010 (NV)

Produced a pair of goals and worked well with her teammates to create numerous scoring chances throughout the ECNL Phoenix National Event. Malloy scored twice on the weekend, with her first goal coming on a play where she crossed up the last defender before beating the keeper with a high shot, tucked under the crossbar. Her second goal came on a team goal which demonstrated excellent chemistry by the attacking unit. (WATCH)

Michigan Hawks 2010 (MI)

This U.S. Youth National Team roster pool member and reigning ECNL U15 National Player of the Year continues to refine her game after leading Michigan Hawks 2010 to the ECNL National Championship last season. Going up against a trio of top-level California teams, Chinyadza utilized her speed, power and world class technical skills to navigate through some of the nation’s best back lines. (WATCH)

Mustang SC 2009 (CA)

Karson earned Player of the Match honors following her outstanding performance in the ECNL National Selection Game on Friday night. She came up with huge plays throughout the night on both defense and offense in a wild, high-flying win for the West Team. She’s the prototype modern defender with the technical skills of an attacking player, along with the speed and endurance to cover the entire length of the field for 90 minutes. (WATCH)

The future Florida Gator didn’t concede a single goal in Phoenix, recording 3 consecutive shutout halves during her time in net. McBride played the first half of each game for San Juan SC 2009, bringing a tough defensive presence as they were able to finish the showcase without losing a game, posting a 1-0-2 record against top opponents.

A tough, hard-working goalkeeper who has climbed up the ranks through the ECNL Regional League, Baker has developed into a strong player for Missouri Rush 2009 at the ECNL National level. During her 3 games at ECNL Phoenix, Baker conceding just 1 total goal, earning a pair of clean sheets on the weekend.

San Diego Surf 2009 (CA)

An uncommitted Class of 2027 midfielder for the 2024 ECNL National Champion San Diego Surf 2009 team, Uscanga showed why she earned ECNL All-Southwest Conference First Team honors last season. She’s an electrifying talent with a huge leg – she scored a highlight reel goal on a free kick – and she’s an absolute maestro in the midfield, weaving through defenders and making creative passes with remarkable fluidity. Sting Black 2009 (TX)

Took over the game against Eagles SC on Day 2, leading Sting Black 2009 to a 4-0 blowout win. Butler scored a goal and assisted 2 more goals on the day, showing her playmaking skills in the final third and precision passing abilities. An uncommitted Class of 2027 prospect, Butler certainly made her presence felt in Phoenix.

Aubrey McLin

The Saint Mary’s commit had a stellar showing in Arizona, leading Davis Legacy 2008/2007 to a perfect 3-0-0 record while conceding zero goals on the weekend. She helped preserve the clean sheet in her final game with a diving full-extension save in a victory against FC Wisconsin.
