Players That Impressed: ECNL Girls Phoenix National Event (Fall 2024)
The ECNL Girls Fall 2024 Phoenix National Event took place over the weekend, as some of the top teams in the nation gathered for the highly-anticipated showcase.
Taking place from November 8-10, ECNL Phoenix played host to 178 teams from across the U16-U18/19 age groups. College coaches from throughout the country traveled to the desert to see some of the best players in the country go head-to-head. (COLLEGE COACH LIST)

Class of 2028
The speedy and powerful striker showcased her scoring and playmaking abilities in Arizona, in a strong effort by the Concorde Fire Platinum ’09 squad. Rivera came up big in a 3-1 victory over Michigan Hawks, tallying a goal and an assist against one of the top teams in the country. (HIGHLIGHTS)
Class of 2027
One of the top-performing center backs in the 2009 age group, Chung was a big reason why the Eclipse Select defense conceded only 2 total goals over the course of 3 games. She played a huge role on a back line which managed to hold high profile attacking units from Real Colorado National, Sting Royal and Solar SC in check.
Opposing defenses had no answers all weekend long for this Class of 2027 attacker, who accumulated 3 goals and 2 assists in just 3 games for DKSC ’09. Carney helped lead DKSC to a pair of victories in Phoenix, as she put her breakaway speed on display, along with her excellent passing abilities. (HIGHLIGHTS)
Concorde Fire ’08 Premier’s reliable keeper, Brooklyn Vann, piled up 20 total saves over the course of 3 games in Phoenix. Vann turned in 1 clean sheet as well, which came against Colorado Rush Academy ’08. (HIGHLIGHTS)
The U.S. Women’s Youth National Team roster pool member was phenomenal throughout the showcase, as she and the San Juan SC ’09 back line combined for three straight clean sheets. San Juan did not give up a single goal at ECNL Phoenix, and McBride was a key part of that, showing her skills against both set pieces and in the run of play.

Marin Kotschau | Midfielder
Colorado Rapids 09 (CO)
Honored as the Player of the Game for her dynamic performance in the midfield during the West Team’s 3-2 triumph in Saturday’s ECNL Girls National Selection Game. Kotschau was stellar throughout the night, controlling possession and creating scoring opportunities for her teammates.

Devyn Gee | Midfielder / Forward
DKSC 09 (TX)
Worked alongside Carmi Carney to help fuel the DKSC ’09 offense during their successful showing in Phoenix. Gee buried a trio of goals throughout the weekend, including a PK and a pair of goals in the run of play. She launched one goal from long range, and other tough finish in which she fought off a defender and beat the keeper with a powerful shot on a fantastic overall effort.

Jazmin Miranda | Midfielder
Legends FC 09 (CA)
Had a strong showing in the midfield, and got on the scoresheet with a key equalizer against Kansas City. cored an equalizing goal against Kanas City. Miranda created various opportunities for teammates and controlled the pace of play for Legends FC ’09.

Savannah Fedulchak | Defender
Michigan Hawks 09 (MI)
Michigan Hawks outside back Savannah Fedulchak shut down opposing team attackers in Phoenix, surrendering zero goals or assists from her mark. Savannah was able to anticipate play, making many tackles and interceptions leading to offensive counters. Her ability to find passes from the back line lead to many scoring chances.

Ava Sexton | Defender
Sting Dallas Royal 09 (TX)
The towering center back and team captain led the Sting Royal back line to a pair of clean sheets against strong opponents, Arizona Arsenal and Eclipse Select SC. Standing at 6-feet, Sexton uses her size and high-end speed to stymie opposing offenses, making clean shots on goal extremely hard to come by. Sexton’s high soccer IQ is readily apparent, as she frequently turns defensive stops into promising scoring opportunities out of the back for her side.
Class of 2026
Helped the Davis Legacy ’08 defense secure a pair of clean sheets in Phoenix, while McLin conceded just 1 total goal at the event. McLin came up with a big tip-over save in her team’s finale, and she distributed the ball exceedingly well all weekend long out of the back. She was strong throughout the showcase on set pieces, strongly punching away numerous corner kicks.
Legends FC 07/06 had an impressive outing at this weekend’s ECNL Arizona Showcase, winning all 3 of their games. Ryder Ajeto played a big role on the attacking side, putting constant pressure on opposing defenses. Ajeto had a particularly dominant effort against Texas powerhouse Solar SC, recording a brace while also setting up the other 2 scores.
Representing FC Wisconsin, Hurd conceded just 1 goal total goal over 3 games, going up against tough opponents while playing in the 2nd half of each contest. Hurd demonstrated strong communication with her back line and brought a strong presence to the defensive unit.
One of the highest-rated defenders in the nation for the Class of 2026, Brayton showcased her two-way abilities throughout the weekend for San Diego Surf ’08. Brayton not only shined defensively, but also contributed a pair of PK goals and an assist on the attacking side.

Colorado Rush 06/07 (CO)
Recorded a brace in a 3-2 victory for the West Team in Saturday’s ECNL National Selection Game. The Colorado Rush attacker buried a penalty kick to open the scoring, and provided what proved to be the game-winner in the second half.

Ava De Filippo | Defender
Slammers HB Køge 08 (CA)
Strong contributor on the back line for a Slammers HB Køge ’08 squad which came away with 2 clean sheets over the course of 3 games. De Filippo and the Slammers HBK defense only gave up 1 total goal against some of the best opposing offenses in the country, going up against Solar SC, Real Colorado National and Sting Black.

Amaya Jackson | Midfielder
GSA 08 (GA)
Exhibited exceptional speed, communication, and field vision, Amaya consistently disrupted strong opposing midfielders, against highly competitive teams. Known for being having a relentless work rate, Amaya played a crucial role in forcing turnovers, moving the ball forward, and maintaining team momentum throughout the game.

Tyller Grimes | Defender
Sting Dallas Black 08 (TX)
The center back’s strength, physicality and aggression were on full display during the 3-day event. Grimes is continually creating space and opening up passing lanes, and has the ability to perfectly place long balls at her teammate’s feet. She blocked several shots on goal and displayed impeccably quick decision-making, and her height allows her to exceed in providing aerial support, making her a weapon on offense and defense.
Class of 2025
Playing in the final showcase event of her ECNL career, the Idaho State commit was sharp as LAFC So Cal battled against a series of highly-touted opponents. Wieler managed to shut down multiple fast break opportunities in 1v1 situations, and showed her outstanding reflexes as she came up with a couple of acrobatic saves.
