I have been playing soccer since my mom snuck me into KinderKickers with my sister when I was three (she knew a coach, so they let me play). I used to help collect balls while she coached at the local high school, and always wanted to emulate the girls I saw. During Covid, I was in second grade, and spent every minute I could outside working on touches against the wall of our house, and shooting into the net my parents bought me. I was hooked. When I started playing travel soccer, my coach told me my “superpower” was my work ethic- no matter who he put me with, he knew my team had a chance to win because of my hustle.

My mentality is to never give up, and focus on working my hardest, and everything else will come. My personality is to lift my teammates up and make them stronger. Soccer is all about the team, and the whole is greater than the individual. While I am extremely competitive, I believe in sportsmanship and make a point to always give respect to my opponents after the game- I was even named a NJYS Respect Campaign Ambassador when I was younger (in May 2022).

I coach younger players, and play pickup soccer in my town with a group of grizzled older men and women, as well as with my peers (often mostly high school boys). Soccer is my favorite thing in the world, and my goal is to play professionally after college. I have been honored to be invited to the ODP East Regional Camp twice, and make the ODP East Regional Team.

I coach younger soccer players as my after school job, and I have developed skills related to teamwork, putting the team first by playing whatever position is needed, and adjusting style, so that we can succeed as a group. It’s very important to me that I do my best, and lead by example by arriving early, staying late to help clean up the field, and giving everything
