Alex Bunce is a Class of 2028 left back for Michigan Hawks ECNL G10 who combines pace, defensive reliability, and the ability to impact the game in transition. A disciplined and coachable player, she excels in 1v1 defending, covering ground defensively, and contributing to the attack with intelligent movement and quality service from wide areas.

Known for her toughness, work rate, and composure under pressure, Alex consistently locks down her side of the field while helping her team build from the back. Her high soccer IQ allows her to make smart decisions in possession, defend effectively in space, and contribute on both sides of the ball against top-level competition.

Alex has competed at the highest levels of youth soccer as a starter for Michigan Hawks ECNL G10, helping lead the program to the 2025 ECNL National Championship and a 2024 ECNL National Semifinal appearance. Entrusted with every minute of Michigan Hawks’ 2025 ECNL National Championship run, Alex helped lead a defense that recorded five consecutive shutouts against the nation’s top competition. She was also selected as captain for the ECNL National Championship match, reflecting the trust and leadership she brings to her team on and off the field. Her performances on the national stage have earned recognition as a TopDrawerSoccer ECNL Girls Finals Best XI Honorable Mention selection, a SoccerWire Class of 2028 Standout, and a SoccerWire Player to Watch at the 2026 ECNL Florida National Event. Following the ECNL National Finals, SoccerWire identified Alex as one of the top defenders in the Class of 2028, noting that she possesses the toughness, speed, and decision-making ability to succeed at the highest levels of collegiate soccer. In the ECNL National Championship match, she was credited with winning all 12 of her 1v1 tackle opportunities.

In the classroom, Alex maintains a 3.87 GPA while taking Honors and AP coursework. She is committed to excellence both academically and athletically and is seeking a collegiate environment that will challenge her on the field, in the classroom, and as a leader.
