Villanova signs Class of 2026 recruits from Sting SC and So Cal Blues
VILLANOVA, PA – Villanova Women’s Soccer signed two future Wildcats during National Signing Day to join the team in 2026.
The pair of signees account for spots in the midfield and in goal, bringing in a wealth of club soccer experience.
Abby Graul | Midfielder | Southlake, Texas | Southlake Carroll High School
Graul heads to Villanova as an 11-year member of the Sting Soccer Club. She was a National Merit Scholar Semi-Finalist in 2025. The Texas native follows in her mother’s footsteps in becoming a collegiate soccer player as she was a midfielder at TCU.
Azem on Graul: “Abby has the skillset to orchestrate and dictate possession in the center of the pitch. She has an artillery of tools on set pieces and can be a dangerous force for us. She has the ability to read the game well and disrupt the opponents possession and has an incredible mindset that sets her up for the challenge of growth and high competitive nature.”
Reese Tremper | Goalkeeper | Dana Point, Calif. | San Clemente High School
Tremper has had extensive club soccer experience, most recently with the So Cal Blues where they were in the 2024 ECNL Playoffs Champions League. She also saw a 2022 Surf Cup Champions title and 2023 ECNL Playoffs with Pateadores ECNL and 2022 State Cup Championship with Laguna United. She has been a two-sport athlete at San Clemente on the soccer and basketball teams. Tremper was the team’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2025 and named to the First Team All-League squad that same year to highlight her two years of varsity soccer. On the court, she has been a four-year letterwinner, helping the basketball team to South Coast League titles in 2024 and 2025 and was a First Team All-League selection in 2024. She has been a part of the California Scholarship Federation all four years along with being a Scholar Athlete and part of the Superintendents Honor Roll. She has been an AP Scholar with Honors as a junior and senior.
Azem on Tremper: “Reese has a commanding presence in goal. She has the size, the tools, and the ability to command her six-yard box aerially better than most. She has the explosiveness and shot stopping ability which will be a tremendous tool in our defensive unit. She has an upside and a mindset which will add a strong competitive dynamic to our unit.”
