USWNT holding training camp at Tottenham Hotspur Training Centre
CHICAGO (Via U.S. Soccer) – The U.S. Women’s National Team will hold its pre-World Cup training camp at the Tottenham Hotspur Training Centre in Enfield, England, the state-of-the-art home of UEFA Champions League finalist Tottenham Hotspur.
The U.S. team will travel to London after finishing its Send-Off Series with the 3-0 win against Mexico on May 26 at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J. and will spend 10 days at the The Lodge.
Widely recognized as one of the best soccer training grounds in Europe, if the not the world, it is located in North London about 16 miles from the city center. The Lodge — which opened about a year ago — includes 15 grass pitches, world-class player preparation areas, a pool and hydrotherapy complex, an altitude room, a large-scale gym, specialized rehabilitation suites, luxurious high-end hotel-type rooms for the players and staff, meeting rooms and a restaurant, among its many amenities. It is the home of the Club’s First Team and Academy.
Tottenham will face Liverpool on June 1 in Madrid, Spain in search of its first UEFA Champions League title.
