An action-packed four days of competition kicked off on Thursday, March 14 and concluded on Sunday, March 17 with championship matches across six age groups and 18 divisions.

2023 U20 Boys Elite Academy Cup winners Indy Eleven successfully defended their title with a tightly contested 1-0 win against the Richmond Kickers. Kasem Minzey scored the lone goal early in the second half with a bursting run down the right side and a long ball played over the top which he deftly chipped over the outrushing goalkeeper. Indy Eleven goalkeeper Ryan Hunsucker would claim the Golden Glove award for the tournament after keeping three clean sheets and only allowing one goal scored in the defense of their title.

In the U20 Girls Elite Final, Greenville Liberty SC defeated TLH Reckoning 3-2 thanks to a brilliant free kick goal from Emma Workman in the second half to win the game after both teams exchanged goals in a back-and-forth affair in the first half. Jaleah Simmons claimed both the Golden Ball and Golden Boot with seven goals scored across the tournament, including a first half brace in the final to earn Greenville Liberty the club’s first USL Academy Cup title.

In the other Elite Divisions, local clubs representing Tampa Bay took the plaudits as Tampa Bay United won both the U13 and U15 Boys finals, while St. Petersburg FC won the U13 Girls final in their first appearance in the tournament. One Knoxville SC claimed the other Elite title in the U15 Girls division following the club’s debut professional season competing in USL League One.
