USL Academy League announces women’s division alignment for 2026

TAMPA, FL. – The United Soccer League (USL) announced the women’s divisional alignment for the 2026 USL Academy League season.

Since 2023, the USL Academy League has provided a developmental pathway for local players and an organized ecosystem for the USL’s professional (Gainbridge Super League) and pre-professional (USL W League) women’s leagues.

The 2026 season will feature 15 teams across three divisions, including three new teams. 13 of the 15 participating clubs have a presence in other USL leagues, including nine W League teams and Carolina Ascent FC of the Gainbridge Super League.

Metro (4): AC Connecticut, Hudson Valley Crusaders*, Manhattan SC, Paisley Athletic FC*

Mid Atlantic (3): Lancaster Inferno FC, Ocean City Nor’easters*, Real Central NJ

Southeast Coast (8): Carolina Ascent FC, Charlotte Eagles, Fox Soccer Academy, Greenville Liberty SC, North Carolina Courage, North Carolina Fusion, South Carolina United Bantams, Wake FC
