FRISCO, Texas (Via US Youth Soccer) — The US Youth Soccer National League girls teams will resume league play Jan. 13-15 at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida at the US Youth Soccer Winter Showcase. In addition to the National League matches, 36 US Youth Soccer Regional League teams will be competing in showcase games at the event.

The National League schedule for Bradenton features four of the eight teams per division in the 15U through 18U age groups, meaning 56 girls teams will take the fields to play the final three games of their National League season. Each matchup holds great importance in determining which teams will punch their ticket to the 2018 US Youth Soccer National Championships, held July 24-29 in Frisco, Texas.

After the National League girls sides played competitive matches in North Carolina to open their seasons, nearly every division has several teams in position to contend for the title. The first place team’s lead is three points or less in 14 of 16 girls divisions.

The National League girls teams that do not compete in Bradenton will complete their season March 16-18 at the Players College Showcase in Las Vegas.

The National League features the top 256 teams in the 14U through 18U Boys and Girls age groups. With teams in each age group divided into eight-team divisions, each side has had to earn its place in the league through success in US Youth Soccer Regional Leagues and National Championship Series play.
