UNC Greensboro mutually parts ways with head coach Michael Coll

GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro and women’s soccer Head Coach Michael Coll have mutually agreed to part ways, Director of Athletics Brian Mackin has announced.

Associate Head Coach Stefani Workman has been named Interim Head Coach.

“I appreciate all the hard work and effort Coach Coll has given to UNCG athletics over his 10-year tenure,” said UNCG Director of Athletics Brian Mackin. “Michael has had success both on the pitch and in the classroom, and we wish him the best.”

Since 1991 when UNCG became a Division I member, women’s soccer has won 11 Regular Season titles, 11 Tournament Championships, and 10 NCAA Tournament appearances.

“I have spent a decade with UNCG Athletics as Head Women’s soccer coach,” stated Coll. “No words can be said to thank the wonderful players enough for the massive impact they have had on my life since the Spring of 2014. I’d also like to thank the countless former players, coaches, administrators, and donors for their trust and help during my time here. UNCG is a special place, and I will miss it greatly as I retire from coaching.”

Coll led the program for 10 seasons and posted an 86-78-29 overall record and a 49-30-11 mark in The Southern Conference.
