U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team opens Copa Saprissa with 3-0 win

The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team opened the Copa Saprissa Internacional with a 3-0 win against Linafa, a select team from Costa Rica.

Elijah Martin scored first for the U.S., tallying in the 18th minute. Chris Lema added the second goal for the U.S. in the 64th minute and Rolando Muñoz sealed the 3-0 score line in the70th minute.

All matches at the tournament are 70 minutes long. The U.S. next faces Honduras on June 24, before taking on Costa Rica on June 25. The U.S. U-17 Men then play against Chorrillo FC from Panama on June 26, before wrapping up tournament play against Mexico on June 27.
