U.S. U-15 Boys’ National Team falls 1-0 to Spain in Mexico City
The U.S. Under-15 Boys’ National Team fell 1-0 to Spain at the Centro de Capacitación in Mexico City, Mexico on Monday.
The lone goal of the match fell in the sixth minute when Spain intercepted a pass in the U.S. defensive third. Spain’s Sergi Cano Tenes cut in at the top of the box from the right side and hit a shot about 16 yards out that curled to the left post. The ball hit the far post past an outstretched Abraham Romero and went in.
Despite dominating the majority of the second half, the U.S. was unable to find the equalizer. The U.S. next faces Costa Rica today, followed by Colombia on Wednesday, June 20.
