Towson University women’s soccer releases 2019 schedule
TOWSON, Md. (Via Towson University) – Ten home games in the new soccer complex excite the Towson University women’s soccer team as they released the Fall 2019 Schedule, announced by head coach Katherine Vettori on Wednesday afternoon.
After two exhibition games one at home against American and one away at Saint Francis (Pa). the Tigers open home play on Friday, August 23 against Old Dominion.
“We are looking forward to the 2019 Season. It will be exciting to open our new Tiger Soccer Complex when we host ODU on Friday, August 23rd” said Vettori.
“This is a very challenging schedule, with strong non-conference games leading into the CAA matches. ”
After ODU, the Tigers play two more home games on August 25th against Marist and August 29th against Mount St. Mary’s.
Towson will begin the month of September on the road at University of Pennsylvania on the 2nd, then back at home on the fifth and eighth verses UMBC and Bucknell. They finish the non-conference schedule on September 12 at George Washington then at George Mason on the 15th. The spiders of Richmond come to town on Thursday, September 19 for an afternoon showdown.
The Tigers will begin Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play in Boston, Massachusetts when they play Northeastern on Thursday, September 26, then travel down to Williamsburg, Virginia on the 29th to face William & Mary.
The month of October will begin with UNC Wilmington coming to town on the sixth. Towson will head back to Pennsylvania on the 10th to play Drexel. Elon comes to the new complex on the 13th and then head to Harrisonburg on the 17th to face James Madison. The last two homes games are the 20th against Delaware and the 24th against Hofstra.
Towson will close out the 2019 regular season in Charleston, South Carolina on Sunday, October 27 against the College of Charleston.
