Teams hit Virginia Beach for 2012 Sun Cup Tournament

Nearly 200 boys’ and girls’ teams will descend upon Virginia Beach this weekend for Beach FC’s 2012 Sun Cup Tournament.

Games will take place in the Under-9 through U-19 age groups, with teams from four states and Canada spending the weekend in Hampton Roads. The majority of teams are from Virginia.

Games will take place at the Hampton Roads Soccer Complex and the Princess Anne Athletic Complex beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday and continuing into Sunday, with finals scheduled in the top brackets for Sunday afternoon and all teams playing at least three games.

U-9s and U-10s will play 7-v-7, while U-11s and U-12s will play 8-v-8. The other brackets will be full-sided games.
