The St. Louis Scott Gallagher Soccer Club will host the U.S. Under-17 men’s national team for a 7 p.m. CT game  on September 8 at Soccer Park in Fenton, Missouri. The U.S. U-17 MNT will play on the Soccer Park’s newly upgraded Dennis P. Long Main Field against the St. Louis Scott Gallagher U-18 Missouri Academy Team.

The St. Louis Scott Gallagher Academy is the current U.S. Development Academy 2012 Finals Week U-15/16 runner-up. Although the final ended with a 1-0 loss to the New York Red Bulls on July 23, the team can look back on a season to remember. They finished in the top two among the 78 teams playing at the highest level of U.S. boy’s soccer.

The St. Louis Scott Gallagher Soccer Club recently concluded one of the most successful seasons in its 40-year history. Four boys’ and two girls’ teams qualified for national tournaments. The club was well represented throughout the various levels of national youth soccer.

The Soccer Park has recently been renovated with new turf on its main field, new turf on a side field, a new digital score board and the construction of a Performance Training Center. Admission for the game will be $5 per car and proceeds from this revenue will go to the game’s charity partners listed below.

The game will benefit Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center specifically the Mary McDermott Cardiac Catheterization Suite.

“It’s an honor to host the U-17 National Team,” said club President Jim Kavanaugh. “It will be a tremendous opportunity to showcase our club and upgraded facility.”

After this match, the U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team is headed to Ohio to play the Columbus Crew on September 10. More details on this game will be posted soon on ussoccer.com.
