The Capital Fall Classic, which is the only tournament featuring qualifying divisions for the prestigious Jefferson Cup, grew to 600 teams in 2018, before setting a new high mark this year.

While teams in the Premier Divisions battle for automatic berths in the 2020 Jefferson Cup, the majority of Capital Fall Classic divisions provide a chance to play against unfamiliar opponents and finish the fall season in a championship environment.

New this year, Richmond Strikers Tournaments partnered with BeTheBeast.com as the official scouting/recruiting partner of the Capital Fall Classic. All players in the U-16 and older age groups will be connected with attending college coaches via the BeTheBeast mobile app, as the Fall Classic’s high school age groups will feature a showcase environment.

Once again, the Capital Fall Classic will feature a unique opportunity for goalkeepers in the U11-U15 age groups, as Own The Goal: Elite Goalkeeper Training will provide Goalkeeper Clinics on Friday nights for plays to prepare for the weekend of competition. The Goalkeeper Clinics will be held on Nov. 15 ahead of the Girls Weekend, and on Nov. 22 ahead of the Boys Weekend.

All games will be played at several of the top field locations across the Richmond area, including: Glover Park, River City Sportsplex, Striker Park and the prestigious West Creek Complex.
