Players to Watch: ECNL Girls Phoenix National Event (Spring 2026)
The Spring 2026 ECNL Girls Phoenix National Event is coming up March 27-29, featuring top teams across the U12-U17 age groups.
ECNL Phoenix will be one of the last remaining National Events of the 2025-26 regular season, serving as a major opportunity for players to get seen by college coaches. The Class of 2028 is only a couple months out from entering their active recruiting window, while verbal commitments from the Class of 2027 continue to roll in, and younger players look to get on the radar for future years.

2030
Ozawa is a multiple-time selection for the US Youth Soccer ODP West Interregional Team, often standing out among one of the deepest regional talent pools in the country, in Northern California. She also serves as a team captain for MVLA SC 2012, bringing a lot of leadership and consistency to the back line.
Playing up a year with her sister Blair on the Michigan Hawks 2011 team, Bickerstaff is one of the premier midfielders in the ECNL’s Midwest Conference from the Class of 2030. She’s an outstanding passer and has been a team leader in assists, while also bringing game-breaking speed which causes constant problems for opposing defenses. Bickerstaff is also a track star, with the fastest 200 meter dash time among athletes her age, in the entire country.
Schwarz is a dynamic and versatile winger/midfielder known for high-level technical ability, speed, and athleticism. She possesses exceptional positional awareness and a soccer IQ that consistently elevates team play. She’s a major threat on set pieces, with a proven track record of converting opportunities into goals.
Riley Gallagher-Szerlip is an exciting and intelligent soccer player who combines technical skill with a strong work rate and field awareness. She plays with composure under pressure, consistently making smart decisions in possession and creating opportunities for her teammates through precise passing and movement off the ball.
Riley’s ability to read the game allows her to anticipate plays, disrupt opponents, and transition quickly from defense to attack. He talent and work ethic has been recognized by the multiple invites to U.S. Soccer Talent ID camps and she has played on the US Youth Soccer ODP National Select Team.
Hunt is a high-upside goalkeeper who has established herself as one of the best in the 2012 ECNL age group. She has an extremely promising trajectory, as she was identified by U.S. Soccer as one of just 8 players at her position to receive an invitation to this year’s U-14 Girls South Region Talent ID Mini Camp. At 5’10”, she brings a strong, physical presence in goal, which compliments her reliable handling and ability to control her area.
Leah Adams (Eagles SC ECNL 2012) has logged minutes at six positions in ECNL play, highlighting her rare versatility in the 2030 class. A dangerous set-piece specialist with multiple free-kick goals at ECNL National Events, she stands out for her composure on the ball, passing range, and ability to control the flow of the game.
Scarborough is a member of the U.S. U-15 Girls National Team, the US Youth Soccer ODP National Select Team and the US Club Soccer PDP State Team. Her ability to transition seamlessly from defense to attack makes her a constant threat, combining grit, speed, and sharp instincts to impact every phase of the game. Quinn Egan | Midfielder

A highly-technical and skilled maestro in the midfield, Egan leads SLSG Green 2012 in completed passes. She consistently distributes the ball with exceptional precision, placing the ball on her teammates to give them the best opportunity to advance up the field with space in front of them. Hidalgo has been invited to 3 U.S. Soccer Talent ID Centers this year, and she’s on the radar for the Peruvian Youth National Team. She’s creative on the ball as an attacking midfielder, thanks in large part to her extensive futsal background. Hidalgo’s futsal team recently won their regional playoff event, and have qualified for the US Youth Futsal Nationals in Virginia this summer.

Lim is a Class of 2030 forward from Washington state who has sky-high potential, and has already been identified by U.S. Soccer as one of the best in the West Region. She was one of 22 forwards invited to the U-14 Girls West Mini-Camp this year, and she was named to US Youth Soccer’s ODP National Select Team. Lim plays for XF Academy 2012 in the ECNL, in addition to Soccer Chance Academy’s MLS NEXT 2 team, where she regularly racks up goals and assists against boys.

She and her squad have already locked up the ECNL Midwest Conference title, and the sky’s the limit for them as they try to get back to the ECNL National Finals once again, after placing 2nd in the country last season.
An up-and-coming forward from the Class of 2029 for Slammers FC 2011, Greer is a productive member of both her club team and her school’s varsity team at Fairmont Prep. The Class of 2029 standout has an extensive array of technical skills, creativity with the ball at her feet, elite field vision and she’s a truly ambidextrous goal-scorer.
A centerpiece of the LA Breakers FC 2011 ECNL backline, Sydney Roddick (LB/RB) returns from a dominant high school season at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy where she was named Angelus League Defensive MVP and 1st Team All-League on a defense that surrendered the fewest goals in the league. Her combination of defensive discipline and offensive instinct makes her one of the most versatile defenders in the 2011 pool. A technically sharp, two-way defender with strong game IQ, she’s one to watch as club season heats up.
Francesca is a dynamic goalkeeper who excels with her feet, showing composure in possession and consistently accurate distribution. A preventative keeper and strong shot stopper who anticipates plays and makes key saves when needed. Highly coachable and an effective on-field communicator who helps organize and lead her team.

Anschutz is a Class of 2029 starting goalkeeper for Bay Area Surf 2011 ECNL and the CalNorth ODP State Team, who maintains an elite 3.9 GPA at University High School. She is currently ranked #1 in the BCL West with 104 saves and a 1.21 GAA as a freshman varsity starter, and she recently anchored her ODP team to the 2026 ODP Far West Regional Championship with a tournament-wide clean sheet.

One of the country’s top-rated Class of 2029 forwards, Rountree has several truly elite aspects of her game, with the most notable being her signature footwork. Olmo was called up to the U17 Puerto Rico Women’s National Team for the Concacaf Final World Cup Qualifiers in Costa Rica vs. Haiti, Bermuda and USA. She scored her first international goal and assist against Bermuda ending in a 9-0 victory. She helped her team qualify for the 2026 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, making history for Puerto Rico.

The team captain and versatile defender / midfielder for Bay Area Surf 2010, Aris Yu projects as a strong prospect from the Class of 2028, who should draw plenty of interest from college coaches when her recruiting window opens up later this year. She’s an excellent two-way player who can make a lot of key plays defensively, while also racking up goals and assists for her squad. Another player for Bay Area Surf 2010 with experience on the US Youth Soccer ODP National Select Team (2025), Swindle is well-established as a one 0f Northern California’s most talented Class of 2028 midfielders. The sky is the limit for Voss, who has been receiving frequent call-ups in recent years to the U.S. Girls National Teams, across multiple age groups. She’s a left-footed center back for Minnesota Thunder Academy 2010, who locks down her side of the field with relative ease, even shutting down some of the ECNL’s strongest attacking players. Voss is not only an excellent defender, but also a true two-way threat, as she can initiate dangerous counterattacks with her elite speed and line-breaking passes out of the back.
Brooke is a dynamic and athletic shot stopper who leads her team with strong communication and direction from the back. She reads the game well, cutting angles and altogether eliminating shooting opportunities for forwards through strategic positioning and clearance. She’s decisive in her actions, fearless, and knows when to come out for a 1v1 challenge and when to stand her ground to make a crucial save.
Baker has emerged as a standout shot‑stopper in recent showcases, repeatedly keeping her team competitive against top‑tier opponents. Her sharp reflexes, composure under pressure, and growing command of the box make her one of the most reliable young keepers in the field. With her momentum building and her recruitment window opening in mere months, she’s poised to be a true breakout performer in Phoenix and a goalkeeper many will be watching.
