New York Red Bulls partner with Ironbound SC

HARRISON, N.J. (Via New York Red Bulls) – The New York Red Bulls and Ironbound Soccer Club have announced a local partnership between the two clubs. The partnership will help foster the development of Ironbounds’ youth players of all ages by providing hands-on instruction from certified Red Bulls youth coaches.

“We’re excited about this partnership,” said Marc de Grandpre, General Manager of the New York Red Bulls. “We think this collaboration will benefit not only both organizations, but also the greater Harrison/Newark community. Ironbound SC and the New York Red Bulls share similar values and we embrace this opportunity to have an impact on young soccer players from our community both on and off the field.”

The partnership will also feature a five day summer outreach camp along with coach education workshops. The partnership also establishes a player pathway initiative that provides training to travel team players, supplemental advanced training for select players, and expanded opportunities for older, high level players.

“Ironbound Soccer Club has a long history of producing top level players who have gone on to play at the highest level possible, whether at the professional or college level,” Ironbound SC said in a statement. “We are proud to partner with the Red Bulls to provide more opportunities for our players to further develop as players and exposure to the USSF Academy program, via the Red Bulls Academy program. It’s a perfect match for two organizations who are located within a goalkeeper’s punt from each other.”
