NCAA Division I Council institutes recruiting dead period through April 15

The NCAA Division I Council has announced the implementation of a recruiting dead period for all sports through at least April 15, 2020 in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
All in-person recruiting has been banned immediately for Division I coaches. However, coaches may still communicate via phone, text and email with recruits that are eligible for contact.
The NCAA’s decision comes in the aftermath of last week’s near-unanimous cancelation of youth soccer tournaments and league play across the country.
