Morgan Brian ruled out of April USWNT matches against Russia
CHICAGO (Via U.S. Soccer) – U.S. Women’s National Team midfielder Morgan Brian has been ruled out of the upcoming training camp and matches against Russia in Texas due to a minor knee injury suffered against France in the SheBelieves Cup.
Morgan has not progressed sufficiently to begin training with the National Team and will remain with her NWSL club the Houston Dash to continue her rehabilitation.
She will not be replaced on the USA’s training camp roster and 23 players will come to Dallas on March 30 to begin preparations to face Russia on April 6 at Toyota Stadium (7:30 p.m. CT on FS1 with the pre-game show starting at 7 p.m.). The USA will then travel to Houston for the second leg of the two-game set against Russia on April 9 at BBVA Compass Stadium (1 p.m. CT on ESPN).
