Midfielder Sebastian Lletget departs USMNT camp due to injury

CHICAGO (Via U.S. Soccer) – The roster for the U.S. Men’s National Team’s Kickoff Series matches against Brazil and Mexico was reduced to 24 players on Thursday as Sebastian Lletget departed the USA’s training camp due to a lingering abdominal strain suffered with the Los Angeles Galaxy. No replacement will be made for the 25-year-old midfielder.

The MNT opens the Kickoff Series on Friday, Sept. 7 with USA-Brazil, presented by Liberty Mutual Insurance. Coverage of the match begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on FS1, Univision and UDN.

Four days later, the next edition of one of the region’s greatest rivalries will be contested at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn. USA-Mexico, presented by AT&T, begins at 7:30 p.m. CT, with ESPN and Univision broadcasting the action.
