Matchups, schedules set for CONCACAF Women’s U-17 Championship semis
Miami (Via CONCACAF) – The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) confirmed today the matchups and the kickoff times for the semifinals of the CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championship Grenada 2016.
The first of the two semifinal matches will start at 5:00 PM local (4:00 PM ET) at the Grenada Athletic Stadium, when to winner of Group A, Haiti, faces the current CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Champion and Group B runner up, Mexico.
The second semifinal, also to be played at the Grenada Athletic Stadium, will be a clash between North America teams. The United States, winner of Group B, will face off against the runner-up of Group A, Canada. That match is set to start at 8:00 PM local time (7:00 PM ET).
The winners of the semifinals will earn a place in the CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championship final, to be played on Sunday afternoon at 6:00 PM local and ET, as well as a coveted ticket to the FIFA U-17 World Cup Jordan 2016. The semifinal losers will have an opportunity to earn the third and final CONCACAF place in the FIFA U-17 World Cup, in the third-place match on Sunday.
