Jacksonville University women’s soccer team retools roster with 21 signings

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University women’s soccer head coach John Constable has completed his 2023 signing class with 21 newcomers set to join the Dolphins this fall.

“We are looking forward to welcoming a talented class to our soccer program shortly,” said Constable. “Not only am I excited to see what they can do this upcoming fall, but I am also looking forward to watching them grow and develop together over the next 4 years. I feel that over the course of their 4 years here, they will all play their part in moving our soccer program forward. We have a nice blend between international players and domestic-based players. We are also happy to see that so many have come from our ID Camps, with 16 of the 21 being former JU Elite ID campers. We look forward to seeing all the new players integrate into our program as we go all out to have another highly progressive year.”

Of the 21 recruits, 15 are from the United States, while others are from Canada, England, France, Poland, Scotland, and Valencia. Only one is from the state of Florida, while the rest stretch from Virginia all the way to Utah.

All 21 recruits are listed below, in alphabetical order:

  • Amaya Bible is a forward/attacking midfield/outside back from Olathe, Kansas. She went to Olathe East High School and played club for the KC Legends.
  • Emmy Boren is from Salt Lake City, Utah, and attended Highland High School. She plays both center and outside defense and played for Utah Soccer Alliance for club soccer.
  • Nya Bridgewater is a forward/attacking midfielder who played club for Louisiana TDP Elite-GA. She attended St. Amant High School and is from Darrow, Louisiana.
  • Caterina Cappiello is a central midfielder from Maple, Ontario, Canada. She attended St. Theresa of Lisieux High School and played for North Toronto Soccer Club.
  • Lilian Carhart is from Sea Girt, New Jersey, and attended Manasquan High School. She plays central defense/central midfield and played for Match Fit Academy for club soccer.
  • Mariama Dabo is a midfield/defender from Le Mesnil-Saint-Denis, France. She attended the Sports Etudes Academy and played for PSG’s U19 team.
  • Aubrey DeJong is a goalkeeper from Henderson, Nevada. She attended Coronado High School and played club soccer for Albion SC Las Vegas.
  • Madison Erwin is from Orange Park, Florida, and attended St. Johns Country Day School. She’s a central defender/central midfielder who played for NFSA Academy for club soccer.
  • Kayla Jackson is a forward/outside back/attacking midfielder from Richmond Hill, Georgia. She played for the United Soccer Alliance and went to Richmond Hill High School.
  • Laura Klebek is from Cieszyn, Poland, and plays central midfield. She attended SMS LO Rekord Bielsko-Biala and played for the Poland National Team, as well as BTS Rekord Bielsko-Biala.
  • Payton Lauer played midfield for the Missouri Rush and attended Eureka High School. She hails from St. Louis, Missouri.
  • Inés Martín is from Ciudad Real, Spain, and attended El Pilar School, Valencia. She’s a midfield/forward who played for Levante UD Femenine.
  • Mariyah McCrae is a forward/attacking midfielder from Lake Stevens, Washington. She attended Kamiak High School and played club for the Washington Rush.
  • Olivia Peal played outside/midfield and attack for NOSC BLAST. She is from St. Michael, Minnesota, and attended St. Michael Albertville High School.
  • Madelyn Radtke played left back/left midfield and forward for the Richmond Strikers Elite. She attended Midlothian High School and is from Midlothian, Virginia.
  • Micah Redic is a forward from Kingwood, Texas. She attended Kingwood High School and played for the Dash GA2 04 North club team.
  • Chloe Elise Terry is a forward/attacking midfielder from Homewood, Illinois. She attended Marian Catholic High School and played club soccer for Lockport Soccer Club.
  • Millie Tugby is an outside back/midfielder from Rickmansworth, England. She went to the Rickmansworth School and played for Tottenham Hotspur FC WSL Academy.
  • Millie Urquhart is from Ellon, Scotland. She plays defense/midfield and forward and attended the Ellon Academy. She also played for the Scotland National Team U19 and Aberdeen FC.
  • Kylee Wideman is from Pleasant View, Utah, and attended Weber High School. She plays attacking midfield/forward and played on the Wasatch Soccer Club.
  • Lillian Young is an attacking midfield/forward from Lebanon, Pennsylvania. She attended Cedar Crest High School and played club soccer for Iron Valley United Soccer Club.

The women’s soccer team begins their season on August 18th as Alabama State visits Southern Oak Stadium. Kick-off is set for 6 pm.
