Florida United’s Sophia Brelage reclassifies to Class of 2024, signs with Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia soccer team strengthened its 2024 signing class with the signing of incoming freshman Sophia Brelage, as announced by head coach Keidane McAlpine.

Brelage, a native of Pembroke Pines, Florida, joins Georgia after reclassifying to the 2024 class and will be a member of this fall’s roster. She is graduating this spring from Cypress Bay High School and will major in Business this fall in Athens.

Brelage played for Florida United SC, helping lead the club to two GA Champions League titles. She was called up to the United States U-16 Women’s Youth National Team training camp in April 2022. She was also called up to the 2023 GA Southeast Talent ID Camp and multiple U.S. Soccer YNT Regional Camps.
