FC Dallas signs Kris Reaves as club’s 20th Homegrown Player

FRISCO, TEXAS (Via FC Dallas) – FC Dallas has signed defender Kris Reaves to a Homegrown contract, becoming the 20th Homegrown Player and 22nd Academy product signed by the club.

The 6-foot-2, 160-pound center back started 34 games for the University of Portland over the past two seasons after transferring from Wake Forest University prior to his junior year. In two seasons with the Demon Deacons, Reaves started all 41 games leading Wake Forest to back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances and earned All-ACC Freshman honors.

Reaves joined the FC Dallas Academy in 2012 and was a member of the U-18 Academy team with fellow Homegrown Kellyn Acosta. He played with the U-18s and saw time with the FC Dallas Reserve team for two seasons before his college career. Prior to joining FCD, he played captured the 2012 AAAA Georgia State Championship at Lambert High School just outside Atlanta.
