FC Dallas Academy closes out season with wins over Houston Dynamo

(Via FC Dallas Academy / Carter Baum) – The FC Dallas Academy U-18s, U-16s and U-14s closed out their 2015-16 USSDA regular season on Sunday in Houston against the Dynamo Academy.

U-18s Fall to Dynamo, 2-1

The top two teams in the Frontier Division clashed on Sunday afternoon, but Hector Montalvo‘s first goal of the season was not enough as the  Dallas U-18s dropped their first league game in two months to Houston, 2-1. The Dynamo capitalized on their chances, scoring two goals on the counter attack for their first win over FCD on the year. Dallas finished the season with a record of 18-3-4 – holding off Houston for the Frontier Division title and finishing ranked third in the nation. The U-18s will open up the USSDA Playoffs starting on June 22 at Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco.

U-16s Win 15th Straight, 3-0

The nation’s top team closed out their regular season campaign in style with their fourth-straight clean sheet in a 4-0 win over Houston. Jesus Ferreira, Brecc Evans and Aldo Quevedo all tallied as Dallas pushed their record to 23-2-0, running away with the Frontier Division and earning the top seed when USSDA Playoffs begin later this month in Frisco.

U-14s Close Out Season Undefeated

Johan Gomez notched a brace in the U-14s final game of the regular season with a 2-1 win over the Dynamo. FCD completed their season undefeated with a 22-0-2 record while scoring 92 goals in 24 games. The U-14s will compete in the USSDA Academy Summer Showcase beginning on June 20, also at Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco.
