ECNL Boys welcoming ALBION SC Colorado and CCV Stars (AZ) as new member clubs

The ECNL announced the additions of ALBION SC Colorado and CCV Stars (AZ) to the ECNL Boys for the 2024-25 season. Both clubs will join the ECNL Boys Mountain Conference for the 2024-25 season.

Originally Boulder County United, newly rebranded ALBION SC Colorado has been developing players in Colorado for over 35 years and currently has approximately 1600 competitive players in the program. The club proved its quality in the ECNL Boys Regional League – Mountain and earned promotion into the ECNL Boys for this fall.

“We are proud and excited to be invited into the ECNL Boys,” said ALBION SC Colorado Sporting Director Dave Carver. “We recognize this as the highest level youth soccer platform in the US and do not take that lightly. We work tirelessly to bring the best possible standards and opportunities to our players and we strongly believe this move will accomplish that for our boys. We look forward to everything ECNL will bring to ALBION Colorado and to the positive impact it will have on our entire club and soccer communities. We are ambitious, the work starts now and we will strive to be a top ECNL club in the state, region and nation. This announcement is credit to our players, coaches, staff and leaders and our efforts will continue as we build towards a bright future.”

CCV Stars enters the league following years of sustained success within a variety of national platforms. CCV Stars is a youth sports experience focused on developing character and integrity on and off the field. The Stars program is a ministry of Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV) with 16 church locations and soccer facilities at most of those locations that funnel into four regional club locations. Currently, about 1400 players play in the CCV Stars club program.

“We are excited and grateful for the opportunity to join ECNL and offer this platform to our players and families,” said CCV Stars SC Technical Director Andrew Belleman. “As a club that spans from the grassroots to the highest levels, ECNL provides the elite level at the top of our pathway. We believe our boys are ready to compete at this level, and we expect to be positive ambassadors of who we are at the regional and national levels.”

“The promotion of Albion SC Colorado and addition of CCV Stars marks our continued effort to reshape and elevate the competitive level of the Mountain Conference,” said ECNL Boys Commissioner Jason Kutney. “Following the recent announcement of El Paso Locomotive joining ECNL Boys, and the merger of Rio Rapids and New Mexico Rush, this Conference will move into the 2024-25 season with an entirely new look and feel and we are extremely excited about the future for these teams and players.”
