ECNL Boys North Carolina Fall Event set to feature U11-U14 competition

The ECNL Boys heads to Wilmington this weekend for ECNL North Carolina (October 17-19). The three day event will feature 72 teams from the ECNL Boys U11-U14 age groups, competing across 10 flights of competition.

Date: October 17-19, 2025

Location: nCino Sports Park | Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: At each age group teams are divided into flights of eight teams in the Phantom and Mercurial flights and four teams in the Tiempo flights. The Phantom and Mercurial flights will play an eight team knockout to determine the flight champion, with every team guaranteed three games in three days. The Tiempo flights will play three group games to decide the winner of each flight, also with teams being guaranteed three games.

U11-U12 teams will play two games on Saturday and one game on Sunday (9v9 competition) to determine their flight champions.

ECNL Spotlight Games: The U14 ECNL Spotlight Games are part of a collaboration between the ECNL and the US Club Soccer id2 Program to provide scouting-based identification opportunities for top ECNL and ECNL Regional League male and female players for youth national teams and beyond.

At each event, club directors of those attending will recommend their respective top-performing players to participate in each U14 Spotlight match. In addition to those recommendations provided by clubs, US Club Soccer and id2 will be on hand at each event, providing on-field scouting during the first day of each event to evaluate the talent present. Combining scouting results with club recommendations, US Club Soccer and id2 will then assemble the rosters for each U14 Spotlight game, creating an all-star game filled with the very best athletes in that age group.

Similar to Continental Tire National Selection Games, ECNL U14 Spotlight games will have a focus not only on superior on-field play but also a large-event experience for players and fans alike, with a live-stream broadcast and stadium setup.

The ECNL Spotlight Game at ECNL North Carolina will take place Saturday night at 5:00 PM EST on Field 11.
