ECNL Boys announce promotion of Folsom Lake Surf and Select MA to national league
RICHMOND, VA – ECNL Boys announced that Folsom Lake Surf and Select MA will join the league, beginning play in the 2026-27 season. Folsom Lake Surf will join the Northern Cal Conference, while Select MA will compete in the New England Conference.
Folsom Lake joins ECNL Boys following a strong showing in its first few seasons in the ECNL Regional League Boys. In 2025, Folsom Lake Surf earned the U14 ECNL Regional League Boys National Championship, the clubs’ first national title in the ECNL RL, along with several other strong age group performances. Fueled by their impressive showing last year in the ECNL RL, Folsom Lake Surf has competed in a few ECNL Boys National Events this year, further proving their readiness to step into the ECNL this fall. The club currently sits in first or second place in a nearly 20 club Regional League at four out of six age groups and currently has five of its six age groups in qualification spots for the ECNL Regional League Boys Playoffs – West.
Competing in the ECNL Regional League Boys – Northeast, Select MA will join the New England Conference in the fall of 2026. The club has multiple programs competing well in the ECNL RL this year, and will align its top player pool for the new ECNL Boys berth. Showing the club’s strong player base, currently its U13 and U14 age groups are both in playoff qualification positions, the Select MA Pre-ECNL U12 team sits atop the Pre-ECNL Boys Northeast standings, and expectations are high for the U15 – U18/19 teams when spring play begins. The addition of Select MA will further fortify the ECNL Boys presence in the greater Boston area, providing more opportunities for high-performing players in the region.
