Dartmouth announces departure of men’s soccer head coach Bo Oshoniyi

HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth College announced that after eight years leading the men’s soccer program, head coach Bo Oshoniyi’s contract will not be renewed.

“Following a comprehensive evaluation of the men’s soccer program, we have decided a leadership change is necessary,” Harrity said. “Bo is a well-respected coach and colleague, we sincerely appreciate his effort and passion and wish him and his family well.

“We are now focused on bringing the next leader to Hanover; an experienced coach who embraces Dartmouth’s distinctions, can inspire student-athlete growth and development, and position our program to consistently compete for championships.”

Oshoniyi led the program since the 2018-19 season, and posted a 34-55-20 overall record and a 17-25-7 record against Ivy League opponents over seven seasons (2020 season canceled due to COVID-19). This past season, the Big Green earned a 3-8-3 overall mark and were 2-5 in Ivy League play.

The Dartmouth men’s soccer program has made 20 appearances in the NCAA Tournament, won 13 regular season Ivy League championships and has had 26 players combine for 31 U.S. Coaches All-American honors. From 2014-17, the Big Green won four straight Ivy League championships, going a combined 45-19-10 overall and 22-3-3 in the Ivy League.

A national search for the program’s next head coach will begin immediately.
