D.C. United Academy player called into Russia U-16 National Team camp

D.C. United Academy midfielder Philip Bogdanov (2003) has been called up to U-16 Russia Men’s National team for their upcoming February training camp and matches.
Bogdanov holds U.S. and Russian citizenships and is eligible for both the Russian and U.S. National teams.
Starting his career at McLean Youth Soccer, Bogdanov moved to Bethesda DA where he started for three years, before switching to D.C. United in 2018.
The camp in Montenegro Feb. 17th – 24th will be used as team’s preparation for the Euro 2019 campaign. Bogdanov was scouted during Bethesda MIC cup quarterfinal run in Spain, successful D.C. United DA performances, as well as playing for Zenit St.Petersburg in an international tournament this past summer.
