Bracket revealed for 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Tournament
INDIANAPOLIS — The field and bracket for the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship was announced today by the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Committee, which awarded the tournament’s No. 1 seed to defending national champion Vermont (14-0-5).
The Catamounts won the America East Conference regular season and tournament championship on the way to the only undefeated record and the second highest winning percentage (.868) in the country.
The No. 2 seed is seven-time national champion Virginia (12-2-4), while Princeton (15-1-2) and four-time national champion Maryland (12-1-3) are the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds. Princeton is looking for their first national championship in men’s soccer.
Saint Louis (10-2-7) will be making a record-high 52nd tournament appearance, while both Indiana (12-5-1) and UCLA (8-6-4) will be making their 50th appearance in post-season play. The Hoosiers extend their streak to 39 consecutive tournament berths.
Three schools will be making their tournament debut. Florida Atlantic (12-3-2) earns its first championship appearance as winners of the American Conference. Lindenwood (14-2-4) earns its first tournament berth as winners of the Ohio Valley Conference in its first season as a full Division I member. Siena (9-5-4) rounds out the group of first-time participants as winners of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
The 48-team field is made up of automatic qualifiers from 22 conferences and 26 teams selected at-large. The top 16 teams were seeded and have received first-round byes. All first-round games will be played Thursday, Nov. 20, on campus sites, while all second-round action will take place Sunday, Nov. 23. The third round will be played Nov. 29 and 30, while the quarterfinals will be played Dec. 5 and 6.
ESPNU will provide live coverage of the semifinals and final Dec. 12 and 15 at First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina, as the Men’s College Cup returns to Cary for the tenth time.
