Beach FC U-12 boys take Jefferson Cup title
Beach FC U-12 Red boys team went undefeated and untied on its way to winning the Under-12 Championship 8v8 bracket at last weekend’s Jefferson Cup in Richmond, Va.
“It was a quality group and our boys did a great job of competing against some very good teams,” said coach Wayne Pratt, who also coaches the current U-15 Virginia Youth Soccer Association State Cup champions Beach FC Red. “It is still early in the season, so there is always room for improvement, but nonetheless, a good weekend to build off of.”
Beach FC boys’ Director of Coaching Mark Waite has high expectations for the U-12 team moving forward.
“It was a good weekend for our U-12 Red team, which starts with the fact that we have a very competitive U-12 age group. Every one of our U-12 boys works hard, and it has created an environment that has elevated the standard in the age group, which is great to see.”
