Arlington Soccer unveils new logo ahead of 50th anniversary

Arlington, VA, May 31, 2019: Arlington Soccer has revealed a new and modern logo, ahead of the club’s 50th anniversary.

“Arlington Soccer is proud to announce today a refresh of our core brand elements including an updated logo. The new look reflects the growth and development of Arlington Soccer over the past five decades,” said Adam Brick, Executive Director. “The new logo is a symbol of our ‘One Club’ vision where all players are at the center of our mission and we strive to create an environment that empowers youth and strengthens community.”

Arlington Soccer has grown to serve almost 9,000 players per year and more than 6,000 families through a wide variety of after-school programs, camps, clinics, recreational, developmental and travel soccer.

“The modernization of the Arlington Soccer brand coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Club. As we move closer to 2020, we will mark this milestone in several ways beginning with this fresh new look for our brand,” said Allie Signorelli, Board President.

Included in the rebranding, Arlington Soccer will adopt a new official club abbreviation: ARL. “The strength of our brand, particularly on the national and regional level, is the name Arlington and the new abbreviation provides consistency across our programs,” said German Peri, Director of Coaching. The abbreviation ‘ARL’ replaces the use of ‘ASA’.

Melanie Roberts, a seasoned graphic designer, assisted Arlington Soccer in the design of the logo. Her children have played soccer for the Club and Melanie served a volunteer coach. She has worked on corporate branding and identity projects for more than twenty years. Some of her past work can be seen at https://www.behance.net/gallery/23335069/Logos.
