Grassroots change: De Anza Force building Development Academy, ECNL programs from bottom up

De Anza Force, one of the premier youth soccer clubs in the San Francisco Bay Area, hasn't always had to worry about identifying young talent. According to Jeff Baicher, the Force's Director of Coaching, the club is now trying to change the old system from the bottom up.

2014 US Youth Soccer National Champions crowned in Germantown, Md.

PSW: Potomac-area teams Baltimore Celtic 97/98 boys U16 and VSA Heat Blue girls U19 claimed two of the 14 US Youth Soccer National Championship trophies over the weekend at the Maryland SoccerPlex. TSW: Manhattan SC PSG 96 claimed the U17 boys trophy at the US Youth Soccer National Championships in Maryland over the weekend, while PDA came up just short in the U19 boys division in what was an overall strong showing by Tri-State area teams.

Sporting Club and U.S. Soccer building National Training Center, Governor touts $1 billion impact

Kansas Governor Sam Brownback joined Sporting Club to announce the development of a U.S. Soccer National Training Center complex in Kansas City, Kan. The facility will house the National Training and Coaching Development Center, an elite athlete training and performance analytics campus and national youth soccer development programs.
