Girls Best XI announced from EDP Cup Fall 2022

EDP Soccer has announced the Best XI from last weekend’s EDP Cup Fall 2022, recognizing top performances across various age groups from the tournament.

The Best XI Girls from the EDP Cup Fall 2022 are:

Kiera Sleicher

Midfielder
PA

Kiera was the engine in the midfield for the Ukrainian Nationals this weekend. She helped her team score goals and create attacking chances out of the midfield. Her work rate was unmatched throughout the four games at EDP Fall Cup.

#10 Giovanna Waksman – FC Florida 09 (FL)
Giovanna was part of the FC Florida 09 Boys team, and was the catalyst for their attack that scored eight goals over the weekend. Playing as an attacking midfielder, she used her technical ability to beat players on the dribble, and play the forwards in behind with her vision and passing ability.

#10 Aubrey Dawicki – SJEB FC 09G GA (NJ)
Aubrey was a rock in the heart of the SJEB FC defense. Her tackling, ball winning, anticipation and reading of the game set the tone for that the whole team to follow. Defense wins titles, and the back line for SJEB FC were tough to get by in open play all weekend.

#6 Harlow Kajkowski – Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals 10G GA (PAE)
Harlow was dominant this weekend scoring 6 of the teams 18 goals. She was the engine in the midfield that helped the team defeat a good SJEB team 4-1, scoring 2 of the 4 goals against a quality opponent.

#4 Sydney Thomas – Team Challenger FC G10 Black (OH)
Sydney proved to be one of the most dangerous attackers in the competition. Scoring eight goals in four matches, leading her team from Ohio to the finals in the Platinum division. Once other teams identified her ability, opponents created tactical gameplans around her offensive abilities, often attracting two or three defenders around her at all times.

#2 Macy Serrett – CNY Premier 2011 Girls (NYW)
Macy helped lead the team to a first place finish. She had four goals and four assists, while scoring the game winning goal in the finals. A great all-round player, teammate and competitor, she was consistent in all games throughout the weekend.

#22 Avery Dailey – The Football Academy NJ 2012 Girls Black (NJ)
Avery’s movement off the ball was fantastic both being able to assist and score goals over the weekend. The forward finished the weekend with ten goals and three assists.

#30 Charlotte Bautis – The Football Academy NJ 2012 Girls Black (NJ)
Charlotte had great ability to use both feet to score goals and assists and her work rate off the ball in pressing was brilliant. The forward scored an outstanding thirteen goals and also had two assists.

#13 Margeaux Asral – Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals 13G Black (PAE)
Margeaux had a great weekend anchoring the defense. She was dominant throughout the weekend and capped it off with a shutout 1-0 victory in the final of the tournament.

#11 Kallie Singleton – Real Jersey FC 2014 (NJ)
Kallie was the hardest worker on the field every game. As a center mid, her field awareness is unmatched at that age and she makes everyone around her better soccer players.

#1 Lucca Gruno – Medford SC Magic 2010 (NJ)
Lucca played in the backline that helped the Magic go 4-0-0 and win the championship with two clean sheets and only allowing two goals all weekend. Not only did she play phenomenal defense all weekend, she added to the offensive attack by burying a penalty kick for the team as well.
