United Soccer Coaches name Youth All-Region, All-America Teams (Boys)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Via United Soccer Coaches) – United Soccer Coaches announced on Thursday the association’s Youth All-Region and Youth All-America Teams, headlined by the 2018 Youth Players of the Year.

Boys All-Region Teams: CentralEastSouth | West

Girls All-Region Teams: CentralEast | South | West

New York City FC’s Giovanni Reyna (Bedford Corners, N.Y.) has been named the 2018 United Soccer Coaches Youth Boys Player of the Year and San Jose Earthquakes’ Sophie Jones (Menlo Park, Calif.) receives recognition as the 2018 United Soccer Coaches Youth Girls Player of the Year. Both players were named USSDA Conference Players of the Year and saw action with the U-17 U.S. men’s and women’s national teams this year.

The duo are among a total of 94 players (47 boys, 47 girls) honored as United Soccer Coaches Youth All-Americans. These players, along with their families and coaches, will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Jan. 12, 2019 at the McCormick Place West Building in conjunction with the 2019 United Soccer Coaches Convention in Chicago.
