Players to Watch: ECNL Girls San Diego Event (October 2026)

The ECNL Girls San Diego Event is coming up October 10-12, as some of the nation’s best teams will go head-to-head in one of the most competitive tournaments of the Fall 2026 season.

ECNL San Diego will feature 112 total teams across the U12-U15 age groups. For the U14 and U15 divisions, these players are entering a key phase of their youth soccer careers, as they prepare for the upcoming wave of college showcase events and pivotal rounds of evaluations in the recruiting process.

Next weekend’s tournament will feature many of the top prospects in the country from the Class of 2030 and Class of 2031. Ahead of ECNL San Diego, here are some players to know for the tournament. Players are listed according to their graduation year.

Class of 2031

Summer Chin | Defender
So Cal Blues U15 (CA)

Chin will be a name to know in coming years, as the So Cal Blues defender is developing into one of the toughest players to match up against, even in the highly-competitive ECNL Girls Southwest Conference, where she regularly takes on some of the best attacking players in the country. Chin is a shutdown 1v1 defender who can also create counterattacks off turnovers, and drive forward into the midfield where she serves as an extra member of the attack.

Haylie Jackson | Midfielder
San Diego Surf U15 (CA)

Jackson is one of several game-wrecking players in the San Diego Surf midfield, a unit which has served as the motor throughout the team’s back-to-back ECNL National Championship runs. The team is coming off a U14 ECNL National Championship last season, as Jackson and multiple of her running mates have gotten call-ups to U.S. Soccer camps over the past year.

Fifi Garcia | Forward
So Cal Blues U15 (CA)

Widely recognized as a special prospect since a young age, Garcia has been making waves for several years as a multi-sport athletic phenom. She was named 2023 SportsKid of the Year by Sports Illustrated Kids for her dominance in soccer, track, softball and volleyball. Soccer has remained a sticking point for Garcia, as she’s recently earned a call-up to the U.S. U-15 Girls National Team, while serving as a game-breaking attacking star for So Cal Blues.

Clarisse Lee | Midfielder
So Cal Blues U15 (CA)

Lee is a dynamic talent for So Cal Blues who has garnered numerous accolades and call-ups in her career. She earned a spot on the U.S. U-14 Girls National Talent ID roster last season, and she’s been a mainstay in the US Youth Soccer West Region ODP roster pool, as well as the US Club Soccer id2 national pool.

Priya Johnson | Forward / Midfielder
MVLA SC U15 (CA)

This Class of 2030 attacking standout is a constant nightmare for opposing defenses. She can line up virtually anywhere between forward, midfield or on the wings, and she can attack in a variety of ways, whether she’s working in tight spaces or making dangerous runs with her straightaway speed.

Ariah Dominguez | Midfielder / Forward
San Diego Surf U15 (CA)

This U.S. U-15 Girls National Team roster pool member is well-established as one of the premier prospects in the Class of 2030. She helped guide San Diego Surf to their 2nd straight ECNL Girls National Championship over the summer, winning it all in the U14 age group. She has also played in MLS NEXT on the boys’ side, even contributing goals for Total Futbol Academy (CA). (HIGHLIGHTS)

Kensie Cabral | Defender
San Diego Surf U15 (CA)

Another U.S. U-15 Girls National Team roster member, Cabral has proven herself as one of the single-most dominant center backs in the country. The two-time ECNL National Champion once again played a pivotal role in her team’s run to the title, as she consistently shut down top scorers from even the most potent opposing offenses. Cabral’s rare combination of size, speed and technical skills make her nearly impossible to beat, regardless of playing style.

Stella Boyd | Goalkeeper
San Diego Surf U15 (CA)

Boyd has the pleasure of working with an absolutely star-studded San Diego Surf back line, which typically doesn’t allow many shots on goal to come her way. But when shots do come her way, Boyd has consistently answered the call with big time shots in clutch moments, as Surf has gone on to win each of the last two ECNL National Championships. The talented keeper has earned selections to both U.S. U-14 Girls National Team Talent ID Camps and to US Club Soccer id2 National Training Camps.

Tali Sherman | Midfielder
Beach FC U15 (CA)

Sherman is an absolute technician with the ball at her feet. She’s an outstanding passer with excellent field vision and has a sixth sense when it comes to finding small creases in the opposing defense, and always knows where to place the ball when setting up her teammates.

Aubree Hovis | Midfielder
Utah Royals FC – Arizona U15 (AZ)

Hovis is an extremely hard-working player who does all the little things well, and brings a level of tenacity and competitiveness which really separate her from the pack. She’s an ideal teammate and the type of player that any coach would love to have on their team, thanks in large part to the relentless energy that she brings to the defensive side. (HIGHLIGHTS)

Naiany Zuniga | Defender
Eagles SC U15 (CA)

One of eight defenders who was called up to the U.S. U-15 Girls National Team training camp in early September, Zuniga is a really exciting prospect for Eagles SC. She has dual-eligibility on the international side, having represented both Mexico and the United States. Zuniga looks like she plays the game at 2x speed, with her amazing quickness allowing her to run circles around her opponents, cutting off runs and forcing turnovers with ease. (HIGHLIGHTS)
