What made you decide to verbally commit to Bucknell?
Bucknell just felt like the right fit for me, not only as a soccer player, but as a person. I was looking for a school where I could really challenge myself academically while also competing at a very high level for soccer, and Bucknell clearly offers both. What really stood out to me was how quickly my family and I felt comfortable with Coach Kelly, Coach Alexa, and Coach PJ. Their passion for the program, the belief they showed in me, and the genuine relationships they built with their players made a huge impression on me. I could tell they care a lot about developing their players not just on the field, but as people off of it as well. That combined with their vision for the program and the family-like culture they’ve created, it felt like a place where I could really grow in every aspect of my life. The more I got to know Bucknell, the easier the decision became of where I wanted to be.
What was the recruiting process like and what did you learn about yourself while going through it?
The recruiting process was exciting, but it also taught me a lot about patience, resilience, and trusting the process. There are highs and lows, and you have to stay focused on your goals without getting too caught up in comparisons. I learned that I’m someone who values relationships, culture, and finding a place that truly feels right. I also learned how important it is to believe in yourself, especially during tough moments of uncertainty. That confidence and trust in myself helped me find the right fit.
How do you feel your strengths on the field will help the Bison?
I think one of my biggest strengths is my work rate and competitiveness. I always want to push myself and make the players around me better too. I’d say my creativity, vision, and ability to make plays in front of the goal are a big part of my game. I love creating chances, scoring goals, and finding ways to help my team in big moments. Defensively, I take pride in winning the ball back quickly and helping turn defense into attack. Most importantly, I’m a team player, and I’m excited to bring energy, passion, and a winning mindset to Bucknell.
What are your favorite subjects in school and what do you think you would like to study in college?
My favorite subjects in school are social studies, Italian, and math because they all challenge me in different ways and keep me engaged. I enjoy learning about history and different cultures, and I like how math pushes me to think and problem-solve. In college, I’m interested in studying business and marketing because I think it’s a field that opens up a lot of opportunities.
What has your experience been like playing in the ECNL for World Class FC?
Playing for World Class in the ECNL has been such an important part of my development throughout the years. Every day, I’m surrounded by such talented teammates and coaches who challenge me to improve. The level of competition is extremely high, which pushes you mentally and physically, and it prepares you for what’s next. Beyond development as a player, it’s also taught me discipline, accountability, and what it means to compete at an elite level. I’m really grateful for everything the club has done to help me grow.
What are your favorite pair of cleats that you have ever owned?
My favorite cleats I’ve owned are probably the Nike Mercurials. They’re lightweight and just feel great on the ball. I like cleats that help me feel quick, sharp, and confident when I play, and those have always been my go-to.
If you could give one piece of advice to a younger player that wants to play at a high level, what would it be?
Just focus on being the best version of you instead of constantly comparing yourself to everyone else. People grow at totally different speeds, and it takes time. Just try to get a little better each day, even if it’s something small. Don’t let social media or what other people are doing mess with your head or make you feel behind, you’ve got your own path for a reason. Stay consistent, put in real effort when nobody’s watching, and don’t forget to actually enjoy what you’re doing. Because when you’re happy and having fun with it, everything else kind of starts falling into place.
Is there anyone that you would like to give a shoutout to who has helped you both on and off of the field?
First, I’d thank my parents and my sister for always believing in me and making so many sacrifices. Their support means everything to me. I’d also like to thank my coaches and teammates. Every coach who has pushed me, challenged me, and helped me grow, and every teammate who has competed alongside me and made me better. Lastly, a huge thanks to Coach Kelly, Coach Alexa and Coach PJ for the amazing opportunity with Bucknell. Go Bison!
