U.S. U-18 Women’s National Team routs Hungary 6-0 to win Pinatar Cup title

SAN PEDRO DEL PINATAR, SPAIN – After routing Sweden 8-0 on March 3 in the Pinatar Cup, the U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team won the three-team competition with a 6-0 victory over the Hungary U-19 Women’s National Team.

The USA scored twice in the first half, with an opening goal coming from forward Anastasia Showler-Little just four minutes into the game. Midfielder Riley Kennedy made it 2-0 in the 36th minute.

The USA then scored three minutes into the second half through Racing Louisville forward Audrey McKeen, giving her three goals in two games after bagging a brace vs. Sweden. Midfielder Kamdyn Fuller, little sister of Angel City FC and USYNT veteran Kennedy Fuller, made it 4-0 in the 67th minute.

In the 75th minute, forward Ellie Kocher, a veteran of the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Team, tallied her second goal in as many games in Spain and forward Ella Kral also bagged her second of the Pinatar Cup with five minutes remaining for the final scoreline.

Cate Cantu faced just one shot on goal in the U.S. net to pick up the shutout.

These matches were the first international action of the year for U.S. U-18 WNT head coach Toni Pressley’s squad. All 20 players on this roster were born in 2008. Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2006, are age-eligible for the 2026 FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup in Poland and that roster will likely include mostly 2006 and 2007-born players.

These matches were a part of the Federation’s continued focus on the U.S. Way philosophy, which emphasizes increased programming for Youth National Teams to create more opportunities for young players to advance through the pathway to the senior National Team with the goal of representing their country at a world championship.
