ROSTER: U.S. U-19 Women’s National Team set to travel to Portugal for trio of friendlies
ATLANTA – The U.S. Under-19 Women’s National Team will travel to Portugal from Feb. 21-March 7 to play three friendly matches outside of Porto.
The USA will take on Czechia on Feb. 27 at Estadio Municipal de Arouca and Wales on March 2 at Estadio Conde Dias Garcia before finishing against host Portugal on March 6 at back at Estadio Municipal de Arouca. These are the first international matches of 2026 for this group of players, 15 of which were born in 2007 and five who were born in 2008.
The roster features two players from the USL Super League. Ashlyn Puerta from Sporting JAX has 11 goals scored in 15 matches to lead the league. Sealey Strawn, who has scored three goals for Dallas Trinity FC, is the other. The two NWSL players are goalkeeper Even O’Steen, who signed with Seattle Reign FC at age 17 in January, and Chicago Stars forward Micayla Johnson, who scored her first NWSL goal last season against Utah and had two goals in the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2006, are age-eligible for next year’s 2026 FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup in Poland, meaning all 20 players in camp are training and playing for a shot at that tournament.
