Malik Jakupovic nets 5 goals as U.S. U-17 MNT defeats St. Kitts and Nevis 10-0

KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent and the Grenadines – Led by a 5-goal, 1-assist performance from Malik Jakupovic, the U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team ran to a 10-0 win against St. Kitts and Nevis on Matchday Two of the 2026 Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers.

The USA was also paced with a brace from Mattheo Dimareli and solo goals from Vicente Garcia, Eddie Chadwick and Prince Forfor to stay atop Group E going into the final matchday.

With the result, the USA sits atop Group E with six points and a +18 goal differential, ahead of the Dominican Republic who defeated St. Vincent and the Grenadines 10-0 in the day’s earlier match. The U.S. now needs just a draw or better in its final group match against the Dominican Republic on Tuesday, Feb. 10 (1 p.m. ET; FS2) to secure qualification to the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar this fall.

The U.S. commanded the match, outshooting St. Kitts 41-1 and dominating the ball throughout both halves with 78 percent total possession.

The U-17 MNT wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as forward Malik Jakupovic found the end of a Myles Gardner cross in front of goal to score the game’s opening goal in just the seventh minute of play. Jakupovic struck again in the 23rd minute after latching on to a ball over the top from Mattheo Dimareli and shrugging off a defender to slide the ball past the keeper to make it 2-0.

Midfielder Vicente Garcia received a through ball past midfield from Jakupovic, leading to Garcia dribbling past defenders and earning a penalty after being brought down by a St. Kitts and Nevis defender. Garcia cooly slotted the penalty into the bottom left corner to give the U.S. a 3-0 lead in the 36th minute. The USA ended the half with Philadelphia Union forward Malik Jakupovic securing a hat-trick in the 44th minute after receiving a ball in the box from Myles Gardner and hitting a rocket through the goalkeeper’s hands to make it 4-0.

The U.S. opened the second half in the same flying form, beginning the scoring with a darting run into the box from Mattheo Dimareli to earn a penalty, which he calmly slotted home in the 58th minute. In a defender-to-defender connection Eddie Chadwick got on the board via an assist from Astin Mbaye in the 69th minute to give the U.S. a 6-0 advantage. Dimareli bagged his brace in the 72nd minute after finishing a squared ball from Malik Jakupovic in front of goal to put the U.S. ahead 7-0.

After applying consistent pressure on the St. Kitts and Nevis backline, the U.S. forced a handball in the area leading to a penalty converted by Malik Jakupovic in the 80th minute to make the score 8-0, leading to his fourth goal of the night. The Union forward struck again just four minutes later after getting on the end of a Will Ostrander pass to give the U.S. a 9-0 lead. Defender Prince Forfor closed out the scoring in the 90th minute after receiving a ball from fellow defender Eddie Chadwick and beating the keeper at the far post with a powerful strike to the far post to cap a dominant 10-0 victory.
