Stanford forward Jasmine Aikey wins 2025 Women’s MAC Hermann Trophy

ST. LOUIS – Senior forward Jasmine Aikey was awarded the 2025 Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy on Friday – the most coveted individual honor in NCAA Division I soccer.

Aikey is the sixth Cardinal to win the award, which has been presented annually to the National Player of the Year since 1967, while the selection is Stanford’s seventh overall. Including Aikey, a Cardinal player has claimed four of the last nine MAC Hermann Trophies, with Andi Sullivan earning the award in 2017, followed by Catarina Macario becoming a back-to-back winner in 2018 and 2019. Kelley O’Hara was the first Stanford player to win the MAC Hermann Trophy at the conclusion of the 2009 season. O’Hara was followed by Christen Press (2010) and Teresa Noyola (2011).

“Winning the Hermann Trophy is an incredible accomplishment,” said the Knowles Family Director of Women’s Soccer Paul Ratcliffe. “I am so happy that Jasmine’s hard work and dedication paid off, as she is one of the most talented and competitive student-athletes I have ever coached. This past season, Jasmine helped lead our team to the College Cup Final while scoring some remarkable goals and proving to be a dominant player throughout the year. Jasmine is an outstanding scholar-athlete and has had an incredible career at Stanford in the classroom and on the field.”

Aikey, who signed a professional contract with the NWSL’s Denver Summit FC earlier this week, is one of four finalists for the Honda Sport Award for Soccer and was named the Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year for Division I after leading Stanford to a national championship berth and a third consecutive College Cup appearance this season.

With the selection on Friday, Aikey becomes just the second player in history to take home the Hermann Trophy and be named Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year – joining Portland’s Christine Sinclair who managed the feat in 2005.

The 2025 TopDrawerSoccer Player of the Year and a United Soccer Coaches All-America first-team selection, Aikey led the Cardinal with 53 points and an ACC-best 21 goals, while tallying 11 assists and seven game-winners. She also led Division I in points, ranked second nationally in game-winning goals, and finished third in goals. The All-ACC first-team selection tallied at least one point in 20 of her 25 matches this year, and had at least one goal in 16 of the 25 contests to go along with five multi-goal games.

Aikey’s 21 goals ranked tied for fourth in a single season in program history, while her 53 points ranked fifth. Her point total is also the most by an ACC player since North Carolina’s Casey Nogueira registered 58 in 2008.

The ACC accounted for all three finalists on Friday, as Florida State junior forward Jordynn Dudley and University of Notre Dame sophomore forward Izzy Engle joined Aikey on the stage.
